Open Funding Call to Regional Authorities to Restore Lakes
Regions with ambitions within lake restauration can now apply for funding and expert help.
The FutureLakes project is looking for "Associated Regions" eager to breathe new life into their water bodies. If chosen, your region will receive funding and expert support from FutureLakes partners to co-create a cutting-edge lake restoration plan.
Together, we'll forge a roadmap with innovative nature-based and circular economy solutions for lake restauration, aimed at cutting pollution, restoring nature, and sparking a thriving blue economy around lakes.

⏳ Project Duration: 24 months (30.09.2025 – 30.09.2027)
💶 Grant per Project: €54,000 per region
💶 Total Budget: €162,000 for 3 regions to receive funding

Who Can Apply?
Local and regional authorities (municipalities, city administrations, regional or provincial administrative units, such as regional park authorities) can receive €54,000 EUR to develop plans. Check here, if your region qualifies.
Note: Applications from Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland and UK cannot be accepted.
